1. Vehicle side
Choose the physical left or right side of the vehicle. Left / right is viewed while sitting inside the vehicle and facing forward.
2. Finish
Primed & Sanded / Ready for Paint: surface prepared for your local paint shop.
OEM Paint Matched: finished to the factory paint code you provide with the order.
No antenna-opening or ditch-light-bracket clearance selection is required for the Wrangler JL / Gladiator JT cowl.
Diode Dynamics SS2 pod is not included and must be purchased separately.
Required only for OEM Paint Matched finish.

The VNTR WORKS JL/JT Cowl — Diode Dynamics SS2 Integration provides a vehicle-specific mounting solution for Diode Dynamics SS2 LED pods while maintaining a clean OEM+ exterior appearance. It is designed to sit close to the vehicle’s original design language instead of looking like a generic universal light bracket.
Designed specifically around the Diode Dynamics SS2 platform, the system combines a dedicated cowl housing with a precise SS2 mounting interface and the required vehicle-specific mounting hardware.
Please note: Diode Dynamics SS2 LED pod is not included and must be purchased separately.
Lens recommendation: VNTR WORKS recommends using the Diode Dynamics SS2 Work/Scene lens with a wide flood pattern for this cowl integration. This setup provides a broad, close-range light spread rather than a narrow driving beam.
Configuration guidance
Left / Right: Vehicle sides are defined when sitting inside the vehicle and looking forward.
Finish: Choose Primed & Sanded / Ready for Paint for local finishing, or OEM Paint Matched and provide the exact factory paint code from the vehicle.
JL/JT fitment: No antenna opening, hood-hinge bracket clearance, or additional cowl accessories need to be selected for this platform.

Installation
The JL/JT Cowl is designed as a vehicle-specific replacement panel using the original mounting concept of the vehicle. The required mounting hardware is included.
No drilling, cutting, or permanent vehicle modification is required.
Installation difficulty is rated approximately 3/10.
Electrical wiring and connection of the Diode Dynamics SS2 light depend on the selected SS2 configuration and the customer’s existing switch setup, auxiliary switch system, or preferred wiring configuration. Please refer to the instructions provided with your Diode Dynamics lighting components for electrical installation.

Diode Dynamics SS2 LED pod is not included.
Is it plug and play?
Mechanically, the system is designed for straightforward installation using the original mounting concept of the vehicle.
The Diode Dynamics SS2 pod mounts directly into the dedicated integration area of the cowl. Electrical installation is dependent on the selected Diode Dynamics lighting configuration and is not part of the VNTR WORKS cowl system.
Professional installation is recommended if the customer is not familiar with vehicle wiring.
